Do you want to join a programme that has already supported over 170 high-growth startups which have raised £280 million in grants and £1.46 billion in follow-on equity investment? Apply now here!
The Shott Scale Up Accelerator, powered by the Royal Academy of Engineering, is seeking its latest cohort to develop and elevate the leadership skills of SME leaders across the UK. The programme provides a year of development, access to new networks, and access to exclusive tools to fuel growth.
The programme will start in March 2025 and continue its record of fostering innovation in several sectors, including robotics, medtech, cleantech, agritech, hardware, AI, automotive, and materials technology.
Programme offering: 36-hour growth training, £10,000 grant, and access to growth platform, Culture+
The programme offers C-suite level executives a unique opportunity to accelerate their strategic development through funding and training over twelve months. Participants will engage in a 36-hour growth training experience with 15 deep tech leaders, complemented by personalised 1:1 leadership coaching and strategic business mentoring.
It has been designed to address today’s technological leadership growth challenges. Leaving participants better equipped to lead their organisational development, including people and culture, governance, customer acquisition, product and service development, securing growth capital, and access to new markets.
The Shott Scale Up Accelerator is also helping to diversify engineering. It already boasts 30% participation from female entrepreneurs and actively encourages a diverse range of applicants. On top of the training, £10,000 grant for international leadership courses, and access to a 100+ investor network, participants will also get access to Culture+ — an advanced equality, diversity, and inclusion platform for SMEs that supports and fosters sustainable growth.
Participants get far more than just training and development. With access to the exclusive alumni EXPLORE programme that facilitates international market expansion, their continued growth is supported via investor connections and peer networking. And everyone benefits from lifetime membership to the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Enterprise Hub, featuring co-working spaces in London, Belfast, and Glasgow.
Real success stories
Previous participants are quick to highlight how the breadth of the programme offered benefits reaching far beyond their own experience and development.
Programme alumni highlight how it has helped them, and their startup, grow. “The learnings from the training, coaching and mentoring have helped to improve our culture of growth and high performance,” said Dr Stefanie Federle, founder of Kelpi.
“The profound impact of this remarkable program extends far beyond the growth it fosters within our companies; it also resonates deeply within our personal lives and positively influences those around us,” RFC Power’s Ashkan Kavei observed.
And Chri Besenbruch, from DeepRender, echoed those comments, saying the “programme is an incredibly unique startup founder mentoring program because it focuses on the individual. It is less about your company and more about your individual growth and well-being. With such focus, the programme helps to build personal resilience and allow founder-to-founder connections that are incredibly valuable.”
