London-based TG0 snaps £4.5M to advance AI-powered physical products

TG0 team

London-based TG0, a startup reshaping the human-machine interface landscape, has snapped £4.5 million in Series B funding. The round was led by NetmindAI with additional support from WP Health. This round follows the £2 million funding secured a few months back.

The investment will enable TG0 to expand its global team, enhancing capabilities across the entire client journey from product design to mass manufacturing. With an increasing demand for innovative, sustainable, and design-driven solutions, the funding positions the company to solidify its role as a leader in the AI hardware tech industry.

Next-gen AI interfaces

Founded by Ming Kong and Dr. Liucheng Guo in 2015 in London, TG0 specialises in AI-powered next-generation human-machine interfaces with 3D innovative interactions and its patented sensing technology. From automotive to medical devices and consumer electronics, the touch, gesture, and pressure-sensitive interfaces redefine how users engage with their products and devices.

It enables designers and manufacturers across a variety of industries, including consumer electronics, automotive, healthcare, audio, gaming, and fitness to reimagine their products, creating smarter and more sustainable solutions, and user-centric experiences. Its clients include ZWIFT, Novares, Italdesign, Dashine, AIRBUS, and Futaba.

Use cases

TG0 specialises in creating innovative touch and gesture-sensing surfaces using patented polymer-based technologies. Their use cases span several industries:

  • Virtual Reality: TG0’s eteeControllers provide intuitive interaction in virtual environments through full finger tracking, pressure sensing, and haptic feedback, offering lightweight, ergonomic designs without complex buttons.
  • Automotive: TG0 transforms car interiors by integrating touch, gesture, and pressure-sensing technologies into components like window controls and steering wheels. This reduces mechanical parts, enhances ergonomics, and allows seamless integration with decorative surfaces.
  • Healthcare and Prosthetics: TG0’s solutions for medical devices include pressure mapping and gesture detection for prosthetics and rehabilitation tools, enabling activity tracking and improved alignment in soft, flexible materials.
  • Consumer Electronics & Wearables: They enhance user experiences with customisable, scalable interfaces for smart devices and sports applications, offering innovative interaction methods like swiping, squeezing, and force sensing.

“This successful round of funding is a clear validation of the market’s growing appetite for AI-powered hardware solutions. With the support of forward-thinking investors like NetMind.AI, we’re positioned to take our development and innovation in AI-driven hardware to new heights. This milestone not only fuels our ambition but also strengthens our commitment to delivering smarter, more intuitive technologies that transform human-machine interactions globally,” said TG0 CEO & Co-founder, Ming Kong.

“We’re thrilled to invest in TG0’s groundbreaking technology at such a pivotal moment in human-computer interaction. Their innovative hardware solutions represent a fundamental shift in how we think about digital interfaces, making them more natural and accessible to everyone. By combining TG0’s pioneering approach with NetMind’s advanced AI capabilities, we can accelerate the development of truly intuitive digital experiences,” added NetMind CEO and Co-Founder, Kai Zou.
