Cologne-based, peopleIX, an AI-powered people intelligence platform, secured funding to integrate fragmented HR data into a “single source of truth”. This provides real-time insights and transforms HR analytics without requiring data science expertise.

The €2.3M pre-seed funding round was led by Earlybird-X, with participation from neoteq ventures, TS Ventures, and HR Tech business angels. This investment highlights strong confidence in peopleIX’s mission to revolutionise HR analytics. While the company has not disclosed its valuation, the funding underscores its potential for rapid growth and market expansion.

In today’s fast-paced business environment, HR leaders struggle with fragmented data spread across multiple tools—HR Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), payroll platforms, and more. This fragmentation makes it difficult to answer critical workforce questions, such as, “How can we accelerate hiring without compromising candidate quality?” and “How do we proactively reduce employee turnover?”

peopleIX addresses these challenges by integrating data across HR systems into a “single source of truth”. This delivers real-time insights without requiring data science expertise..

Founders behind the AI-powered people intelligence platform

The inception of peopleIX stems from the diverse expertise of its co-founders. Nick Stodt, with a background in finance, previously served as VP Finance at a scale-up. He saw firsthand how financial and business performance depend on strong people management. He identified a major issue: HR data is often scattered across multiple systems, making it difficult for businesses to understand HR’s true impact.

Dr Georg Schaal, an expert in informatics, has worked as a software engineer and consultant. He has helped enterprises navigate tech transformations and organisational changes. Together, their combined experience in finance and technology uniquely positions them to tackle the complexities of HR data analytics.

Bridging the HR data gap with AI-powered people intelligence

peopleIX was created to solve a fundamental issue. Businesses struggle to assess HR’s impact on performance due to scattered and unstructured data. The co-founders identified two key problems. Fragmented HR data makes advanced analytics difficult. A widespread skills gap prevents organisations from building internal people intelligence capabilities. Their solution is an AI-powered people intelligence platform. It provides mid-sized companies with AI-powered people analytics without needing to hire data analysts or dedicated HR analytics teams.

Expanding capabilities and market presence

With the fresh investment, peopleIX plans to enhance its product capabilities. They will focus on data modelling to connect HR and business data into a unified system. Furthermore, the company will develop advanced data science and machine learning models. These models will analyse recruiting, retention, performance, and productivity trends. To facilitate seamless interaction with HR data, peopleIX will introduce agentic user interfaces for CHROs and business leaders. Additionally, the company is strengthening its market position in the DACH region. They are also preparing for expansion into other European markets.

In the growing field of people analytics, competitors such as Visier, OneModel, and Crunchr cater primarily to large enterprises. peopleIX differentiates itself by offering an intuitive, no-code AI-powered people intelligence platform. It integrates seamlessly with various HR systems, providing real-time insights across the entire employee lifecycle—from recruiting to retention.

Unlike traditional HR analytics tools that require in-house data expertise, peopleIX delivers comprehensive workforce intelligence in an accessible format. It empowers organisations to make data-driven decisions without specialised knowledge.

Unlocking the future of HR decision-making

With its latest funding and clear strategic direction, peopleIX aims to redefine how businesses approach HR analytics. By offering an AI-powered people intelligence platform that unifies fragmented data and delivers actionable insights, the company enables HR leaders and executives to enhance productivity, improve retention, and optimise hiring processes. As peopleIX expands across Europe, it is set to become a key player in the future of workforce intelligence.

“HR is no longer a support function – they are strategic business enablers, driving the optimisation of Human Capital,” said Nick Stodt.

“By building the intelligence layer for people data, we’re equipping CHROs and business leaders with the tools they need to unlock the full potential of their workforce and drive real impact,” added Dr. Georg Schaal.
