Patient transport in clinics currently relies on multiple phone calls, creating a significant administrative burden for nursing staff. With no visibility into transport arrival times, staff must make repeated calls for updates. These manual processes lead to inefficient planning and blocked capacity due to extended waiting times. To address these persistent challenges, QRaGo, a leading healthcare logistics and patient transport software provider, has secured €2.7M in seed financing.
The round was led by āltitude and MobilityFund, with continued backing from existing investors Segenia Capital and capacura. The total funding and valuation is not disclosed at this moment. The Stuttgart-based company will use this capital to strengthen its position in Germany, expand into the DACH region (primarily Switzerland and Austria), and broaden its logistics services portfolio. This investment will accelerate the digitisation of healthcare logistics and patient transport services.
Alexander Kunze, Managing Director at QRaGo, said: “We are proud to have such strong investors by our side who are fully aligned with our vision. Our success shows how important efficient logistics solutions are in the healthcare sector. With this new financing, we will further develop our markets horizontally and vertically – material and laboratory transports are just the beginning. We also see considerable potential in large-scale logistics for clinic networks. We plan to double our reach this year and enter the market in Austria and Switzerland.”
Creating a digital ecosystem for healthcare logistics
Founded in 2019 in Stuttgart by Christian Alexander Ruff and Alexander Kunze, QRaGo specialises in digital logistics solutions for the healthcare sector, focusing on external patient and material transportation. The company aims to transform patient transport by digitising the entire process.
The startup tackles key healthcare logistics challenges, including inefficient manual processes, lack of transparency, and poor resource utilisation. Their B2B and B2C platform digitises the entire transportation process, from ordering to execution and billing, allowing medical facilities to arrange transport in 30 seconds through their web application.
QRaGo has emerged as a vital solution in the German hospital market, now serving over 10% of the sector. The company connects approximately 1,700 transport service providers with over 2,000 clinics and handles more than 50,000 transports monthly, demonstrating strong growth and increasing demand for digital logistics solutions in healthcare.
Beyond its recent financing, QRaGo has achieved C5 certification from the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), marking it as one of the few providers meeting the highest cloud-based service security standards. The company has also formed new partnerships with industry leaders Uber (transport) and Debeka (health insurance) to enhance its service offering and platform reach.
QraGo: a healthcare ecosystem at your fingertips
QRaGo’s comprehensive digital ecosystem connects all healthcare logistics stakeholders – medical facilities, laboratories, transport companies, and insurance providers. This enables automated ordering, real-time transport tracking, and efficient route optimisation, minimising empty trips and improving resource usage.
Unlike general logistics platforms like DHL, UPS, or FedEx, QRaGo is designed explicitly for healthcare logistics, addressing unique patient and medical transport challenges. Such an approach ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials, and appropriate vehicle selection for patient needs. It also reduces healthcare logistics costs through intelligent transport classification, efficient resource utilisation, and streamlined billing processes.
The company plans to expand its services to include material and laboratory transport and large-scale logistics solutions for hospital networks. As healthcare logistics evolves, QRaGo’s innovations are poised to reshape patient care and medical supply chain management.
