Hamming.ai raises seed funding to advance AI voice agent reliability with automated testing, monitoring, and governance tools.
Hamming.ai, the AI voice agent reliability platform, has raised $3.8M in a seed funding round led by Mischief. The round also saw participation from YCombinator, AI Grant, Pioneer, Coalition Operators, Coughdrop, and angel investors including Hiten Shah, Ran Makavy, Max Kolysh, Richard Aberman, and Kulveer Taggar.
“Conversational AI is advancing rapidly — but most testing and governance tools haven’t caught up to match developer needs and compliance realities,” said Lauren Farleigh, Co-Founder and GP at Mischief. “Hamming.ai will be foundational to ensuring this technology advances safely, as AI reshapes interactions between businesses and their customers.”
Revolutionising voice agent reliability in conversational AI
Every day, billions of calls are made globally, and as conversational AI technology evolves, analysts like Forrester predict that AI will manage the majority of these interactions. For businesses developing these systems across various sectors, AI voice agent reliability remains a significant challenge. A slight alteration in prompts or model providers can lead to drastic changes in responses, making consistent performance elusive. Engineers currently spend countless hours manually testing voice agents, which is slow, inefficient, and often incomplete.
Hamming.ai offers a solution to this costly and time-consuming process. By automating the testing, monitoring, and governance of AI voice agents, the platform eliminates the need for labour-intensive manual methods. Its AI-driven approach enables the simulation of thousands of calls to voice agents simultaneously, uncovering issues that could otherwise go unnoticed. This cutting-edge method is not only 20 times faster but also 10 times cheaper than traditional testing practices.
AI voice agent reliability founders with a legacy of innovation
Founded in San Francisco in 2024 by Sumanyu Sharma and Marius Buleandra, Hamming.ai leverages the extensive expertise of its leadership team. Sharma, the company’s CEO, previously quadrupled the user base of Citizen, a Founders Fund-backed personal safety network, as its Head of Data. His tenure at Tesla saw him develop an AI-powered sales program generating hundreds of millions in annual revenue. Sharma also researched AI-powered medical image search at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Buleandra, Hamming.ai’s CTO, brings experience from roles in data infrastructure, AI, and complex systems engineering at Anduril, Square, and Microsoft, and was also a founding engineer at Spell, a machine-learning observability and infrastructure startup that was acquired by Reddit. Together, the duo’s technical acumen and industry experience position Hamming.ai as a leader in AI voice agent reliability solutions.
Shaping the future of compliance and trust in AI
As industries such as medicine, law, and real estate increasingly adopt AI, the need for compliance with stringent regulatory frameworks becomes paramount. “If 2024 was the year of the prototype, 2025 will be the year of reliability,” said Sharma. “Industries like medicine, law, insurance, and real estate are governed by compliance frameworks that govern how businesses interact and share information with their clients. As these regulations catch up to the realities of AI, automated testing will be a cornerstone to every long-term and trust-focused AI strategy.”
Hamming.ai’s platform not only improves reliability but also supports governance by offering tools like LLM prompt management, automated red teaming to detect vulnerabilities, and analytics for monitoring voice agent performance in real-time. By addressing these critical needs, Hamming.ai empowers businesses to deploy robust AI solutions while meeting compliance and operational demands.
Pioneering a new era in voice AI reliability
Hamming.ai is poised to redefine how businesses ensure the reliability of their AI systems. With a suite of tools designed to streamline testing and enhance governance, the company is setting a new standard for voice AI reliability. As conversational AI continues to transform industries, Hamming.ai’s innovative solutions ensure these technologies are not only effective but also trustworthy.
